Welcome to Rival Reporter!

This guide will walk you through the whole process of using Rival Reporter, from signup and setup to ongoing use. You’ll be monitoring your competitors in no time.

Let’s get started.

1. Signup for Rival Reporter

Head to rivalreporter.com and click Get started or Login.

Enter your name and email and create a password. Click Register.

2. Select a plan

Once you’ve created an account you’ll be directed to the Billing page and asked to select a plan. All plans come with a 7-day free trial.

Select a plan. You will be redirected to the Stripe checkout. Enter your credit card information and click Start trial.

You will be redirected back to the Rival Reporter Home page where you can start setting up your rivals for monitoring.

3. Setup Rival Reporter

Once you’re logged in and payment is processed, you’ll see the Home page. You can start using Rival Reporter by adding Shopify apps that you want to monitor. Click the + Monitor new app button to start.

The search function will open. Start typing to search the entire Shopify app store for your competitor apps.

Click on an app to see details from the Shopify app store. Click Start monitoring to add an app to your Rivals you monitor dashboard.

In the Rivals you monitor dashboard you can select your notifications preferences. When an option is selected you will recieve an email everytime there is a change to that app. E.g. when ‘Plans/price change’ notification is selected you will recieve an email if that app changes their pricing or their plans. Unselect any notifications you don’t wish to recieve.

Click update to save changes.

4. Upgrade your plan to monitor more apps

Each plan has a maximum number of apps you can monitor. If you reach the limits of your plan you won’t be able to monitor any further apps and you will need to upgrade. In this instance you will be redirected to the Billing page.

5. Update your account information

Go to My Account to update your account information, including setting a new password and deleting your account. Click save to save any changes.
